Why do you think Best Places to Work is important?
Receiving an employer-related certification or award is a great way to attract both new clients and new team members. The BPTW award gives us an opportunity to gain this extra level of recognition in the marketplace. As the award is based largely on employee feedback, it makes receiving this type of recognition extra-special – internally and externally.
Why did you enter the Survey?
Journey entered the BPTW survey as the starting point for the BPTW awards. We do two surveys with our team, every six months on predefined questions, which works well for us. The way this survey was conducted and reported gave us an extra level of understanding about our team, and the feedback received has been invaluable.
Briefly discuss what makes your business a best place to work
The Journey ‘secret sauce’ is a mixture of 1001 little things that, when brought together, creates a perfect storm of awesomeness. It is fundamentally about our people, but it is also about not compromising on our vision, goals, values and non-negotiables as a business. It is about knowing that every action has a consequence, and carefully thinking through decisions to make sure our actions have a positive impact on our people, processes and outputs.
